Help Find a Child was founded by Carolyn Pospisil after the disappearance of her step-daughter, Erin Pospisil, June 3, 2001 from Cedar Rapids. Erin was 15 at the time of her disappearance. Erin would be 19 and is still missing today.
Help Find a Child’s mission is to educate the public about missing people, and work for prevention by promoting child safety and identification.
Help Find a Child organizes Child I.D. events at malls, churches and schools in Iowa and Nebraska. Children receive a free laminated Identification Card with their photo, fingerprint and other important information.
